Casper, WY

We pulled into Casper around 3:30pm and got one of the last spots in the Fort Casper campground. Drove in to the center of town and toured Lou Taubert Ranch Outfitters shop. It's a massive store in the heart of downtown Casper. They have nine different "floors" (not storied, just different sales floors): gifts, food stuff, restaurant, men's boots, men's clothes, women's boots, women's clothes, kids, and saddles & tack. The men's boots room had more boots than we've ever seen in one place. If you wanted purple snake skin cowboy boots, they had them. They also had special boots called ropers (for folks who rope calves for sport) that were traditional shaped boots, but had laces at the foot so you could wear them extra tight.
