We visited Mount Rushmore today.

It's an amazing feat that Gutzon Borglum managed to carve these four presidents into the granite face of Mount Rushmore. He was commissioned to do the sculpture by a fellow that, as best we can tell, must have owned all the land around the mountain. The towns surrounding Mount Rushmore are a tribute to the Great American Tourist Trap. We saw every souvenir stand you could ever imagine (we passed by), and we also passed by the Great American President Wax Museum. None the less, Mount Rushmore is very majestic, and the Black Hills is a very beautiful area.
